Upgrade procedure for LogOn version 2.x/3.x to version 4.X
1. INTRODUCTION
This document describes the procedure for upgrading LogOn telematics modules from firmware version 2.0 鈥 3.3 to version 4.X.
This procedure must not be used on machines already running LogOn firmware version 4.0 or higher nor machines running version 1.X.
2. Overview of Upgrade Process
2.1 Prerequisites
Download all required upgrade files before going to the machine (see Section 2.4).
Ensure the machine is powered on
Confirm the current firmware version of the LogOn system.
2.2 High-Level Steps
Download all the required upgrade files before going to the machine (see section 2.4)
Turn on the machine master disconnect switch
Turn on the machine key switch.
Connect to the LogOn Wi-Fi network.
Access the LogOn web portal.
Identify the installed firmware version.
Follow the appropriate upgrade procedure:
LogOn Version 2.X: System Monitor upgrade, followed by OS and firmware upgrade.
LogOn Version 3.X: OS and firmware upgrade only.
2.3 Supported Firmware Paths
Version 2.0 鈥 2.9 鈫 Version 4.X
Version 3.0 鈥 3.3 鈫 Version 4.X

3 Accessing the LogOn System
3.1 Power On the Machine
Turn on the master disconnect switch.
Turn the ignition key to the ON position to power the telematics module.
3.2 Connect to LogOn Wi鈥慒i
Locate and connect to the Wi鈥慒i network named with the machine鈥檚 serial number.
The Wi-Fi network name becomes available approximately 1 to 2 minutes after turning on the ignition key.
You can find the machine serial number at any of the following:
- cab computer telematics screen
- serial number plate inside the cab near one of the doors
3.3 Log in to the LogOn Portal
Open a web browser.
Enter the following address: http://192.168.2.1
Log in using owner account credentials. The default is as follows:
Username: Owner
Password: Owner7Q
(Password is case-sensitive)
Select the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
Open the SYSTEM tab using the left or top navigation panel.
Use the double chevrons to locate the Current Firmware panel.
3.4 Determine Firmware Version
If firmware version is 2.0 鈥 2.9, proceed to Section 4.
If firmware version is 3.0 鈥 3.3, proceed to Section 5.
4 Upgrade Procedure 鈥 LogOn Version 2.X Only
NOTICE: This section applies only to firmware versions 2.0 through 2.9.
4.1 Verify Monitor Version
In the CURRENT SYSTEM panel, confirm the Monitor Version is 1.7 or lower.
Click Start Update Manager.
4.2 Install New System Monitor
Select Choose File.
Browse to and select 鈥淏ridge_SysMon.tsm鈥 (this file was downloaded at step 2.4.1).
Click Upload.
Confirm the update when prompted.
Monitor the progress bar until completion.
Temporary Wi-Fi Disconnection
- The system will reboot and disconnect.
- Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network named:
LogOn-ERROR-XXXXXXXX
- Navigate again to: http://192.168.2.1
4.3 Install New Firmware
Verify the Monitor Version now displays 1.8.
Select Choose File.
Upload 鈥淰2_to_V4_Firmware.tsm鈥. (this file was downloaded at step 2.4.1).
Confirm the upload in the System Monitor prompt.
Temporary Wi-Fi Disconnection
- The system will reboot and disconnect. This may take approximately 6 minutes.
- Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network named:
LogOn-XXXXXXXX
- Navigate again to: http://192.168.2.1
Update Completion
Log back into the portal,
Username: Owner
Password: Owner7Q
Create new Owner and Operator passwords when prompted. If you forget your password, reach out to a 星空传媒 dealer technician to reset it.
Open Settings and open the SYSTEM menu.
Verify:
Firmware Version: 4.0 or higher
OS Version: 1.2.4.3
The firmware upgrade from version 2.X to 4.0 is now complete.
5 Upgrade Procedure 鈥 LogOn Version 3.X Only
NOTICE: This section applies only to firmware versions 3.0 through 3.3
5.1 Verify Monitor Version
Confirm the Monitor Version is 2.0 or higher.
Click Start Update Manager.
5.2 Install New Firmware
Select Choose File.
Upload 鈥淰3_to_V4_Firmware.tsm鈥. (this file was downloaded at step 2.4.2).
Confirm the upload in the System Monitor prompt.
Wait for the progress bar to compete.
- The system will reboot and disconnect. This may take approximately 4 minutes.
- Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network named:
LogOn-XXXXXXXX
- Navigate again to: http://192.168.2.1
Update Completion
Log back into the portal,
Username: Owner
Password: Owner7Q
Create new Owner and Operator passwords when prompted. If you forget your password, reach out to a 星空传媒 dealer technician to reset it.
Open Settings and open the SYSTEM menu.
Verify: Firmware Version is 4.0 or higher
The firmware upgrade from version 2.X to 4.0 is now complete.
