Ðǿմ«Ã½ Cares (Case Management)
This Ðǿմ«Ã½ Cares website is designed to be a centralized clearinghouse for some resources students may need to help them succeed at Ðǿմ«Ã½. Although some resources may be offered and supervised by departments outside of Student Affairs, all resources and services represent Ðǿմ«Ã½’s unwavering commitment to show students that we are inclusive and care about them as human beings.

What is Case Management?
Ðǿմ«Ã½ Cares is Ðǿմ«Ã½’s case management office. Housed in the Dean of Students office, the primary goal of Ðǿմ«Ã½ Cares is to provide support for students experiencing non-academic barriers to success during their time at Ðǿմ«Ã½. While Ðǿմ«Ã½ Cares is NOT a decision-making office, students partner with case managers to make informed decisions.
How does a student get connected to a case manager?
Most students are referred to Ðǿմ«Ã½ Cares during a crisis*. A crisis is relative to the individual. The process for care is rooted in a crisis management model: preparing for, preventing, coping with, and recovering from a crisis. For every student’s case, a needs assessment is completed with the goal of linking a student to a campus and/or community resource.
*Examples of a crisis: unexpected illness and or hospitalization; death in the family.
